Come learn how we successfully transformed our approach to learning and launched a multidisciplinary approach to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB), creating an engaging environment focused on development, inclusion and belonging. Meet the Presenters: Jamie Nelson, M.Ed., CPPM (She/Her) Sr. Manager of Organizational Learning and Development, Essentia Health Jamie has over 10 years of experience in Organizational Learning & Development and 20 years in education development, instruction, and program management. She currently leads a team of Organizational Development and Learning Management System Specialists, as well as Instructional Designers that design, consult, educate, and coach their 15,000 colleagues around the areas of staff and leadership development, employee engagement, change management, and adult education/compliance training. Through her experiences, she has found a passion for exploring ways to use technology to enhance learning and make training more accessible. Mary Engels, MS, PCC, CDE (She/Her) Sr. Director of Organizational Learning and Development, Essentia Health Mary brings over 40 years of experience in health care to her role as Sr. Director of Organizational Learning and Development (OL&D). In addition to providing oversight to the key areas of OL&D (OD, LMS and Instructional Design Teams), Mary serves as the dyad partner with the Essentia Health Chief Well-Being Officer to co-lead the Essentia Health Office of Well-Being. Mary also leads Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) for Essentia Health, providing leadership and oversight of our 11 DEIB workstreams as well as our DEIB Resource and Executive Steering Committees. In her role as an Executive Coach, Mary provides 1:1 and group coaching to physician leaders and other executive level leadership.

Meet the Presenters: Jamie Nelson, M.Ed., CPPM (She/Her) Sr. Manager of Organizational Learning and Development, Essentia Health Jamie has over 10 years of experience in Organizational Learning & Development and 20 years in education development, instruction, and program management. She currently leads a team of Organizational Development and Learning Management System Specialists, as well as Instructional Designers that design, consult, educate, and coach their 15,000 colleagues around the areas of staff and leadership development, employee engagement, change management, and adult education/compliance training. Through her experiences, she has found a passion for exploring ways to use technology to enhance learning and make training more accessible. Mary Engels, MS, PCC, CDE (She/Her) Sr. Director of Organizational Learning and Development, Essentia Health Mary brings over 40 years of experience in health care to her role as Sr. Director of Organizational Learning and Development (OL&D). In addition to providing oversight to the key areas of OL&D (OD, LMS and Instructional Design Teams), Mary serves as the dyad partner with the Essentia Health Chief Well-Being Officer to co-lead the Essentia Health Office of Well-Being. Mary also leads Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) for Essentia Health, providing leadership and oversight of our 11 DEIB workstreams as well as our DEIB Resource and Executive Steering Committees. In her role as an Executive Coach, Mary provides 1:1 and group coaching to physician leaders and other executive level leadership.
