Description: Instructional Designers are often told we need a portfolio of work, but it isn’t always that easy. Organizations include proprietary and confidential content in training, yet want to see examples before hiring or contracting with you. What’s an Instructional Designer to do? Learn how to grow an effective portfolio!

Bio: Kate Hoelscher, MBA, is currently a Learning and Development Consultant III at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota. There, Kate started a Learning & Development Networking Community to encourage collaboration among decentralized training functions. She recently presented on portfolios for the ATD-GTC Training SIG and PACT Excellence Share, and on Networking for Fredrickson Young Learning Leaders. Prior to joining Blue Cross, Kate served as a Computerized Education Specialist for CentraCare Health, where she designed and developed hundreds of eLearning modules.
