ATD-GTC Training Community of Practice

Imagine being able to train over 10,000 people, save hundreds of thousands of dollars in training costs, increase completion rates and update content on short notice. Then imagine doing all of this while engaging learners with impactful and dynamic content.

Few companies use virtual training as effectively as Best Buy. We’re excited to have Jill Barten, Training Manager, Best Buy, share elements of their Training 125 presentation with the local ATD community.

During the session, Jill will review some best practices related to virtual training. Topics will include:

  • Differences of developing a virtual class from traditional instructor-led training
  • Process for streamlining virtual training development
  • Interactive strategies to engage the learn
  • Different class layouts: lobby, content, video, share screen and polls
  • Training regardless of class size
  • Employee scheduling and logistics
  • Use of everyday technology

This event is free to ATD members.

ATD members may bring one guest at no charge.

Registration fee for non-members is $10 and must be paid through online registration.
