ATD-GTC Change Leadership Community of Practice SOLD OUT!! Virtual Workshop: Change Leadership CoP The Neuroscience of Change -Leading Change with the Brain in Mind In this workshop led by Kristin Evenson, Founder of Junctures Consulting, participants will explore and discuss practical ways to help the brain process change. Kristin will facilitate the session by introducing some “hard science” and practical insights to the perceived “soft science” of psychology and change. This session will begin by learning a bit about the brain’s inherent threat mode, and five very specific SCARF threats the brain instinctively perceives when faced with change—threats to status, certainty, autonomy, relatedness and fairness. Participants will then break into small groups and work on a discussion topic to explore implications of the SCARF model in designing and leading change initiatives. Participants will gain a greater understanding of the brain’s inherent threat/reward states as relates to change; will learn about 5 core change threats that inhibit the brain’s capacity to think and to collaborate; and will explore some practical, motivational reward-state strategies that help the brain process change in a positive way. This Event is free for ATD-GTC Members Members may bring one complimentary guest. Note: Information on how to access this event virtually will be provided via a registration confirmation email. Registration email will direct registrants to complete a preliminary SCARF Assessment that will be utilized within the workshop.
