In recent months, AI has become the talk of the town. Perhaps you've tried out ChatGPT or Midjourney. Maybe you've clicked “tab” to autofill an email or a phrase on a Word document.
Is this workshop right for you? Let's be clear, we don't code for a living. We are not AI technical experts. This is not a technical workshop. The goal of this workshop is to demystify AI and shift the conversation from what AI will do TO you, to what AI can do FOR you. After thoughtful collaborative discussion, we will explore hands-on techniques to create and test effective prompts for engaging and meaningful AI-driven conversations.

Meet Our Facilitators:
Your curious and growth-driven co-facilitator, Benjamin Borchert, spent his career torquing and turning the nuts and bolts of human communication. His communication practices and tinkerings include work as a writer, a theatre professional, a math teacher at an elementary, an entrepreneur, business owner, a presentation-skills facilitator and communication coach.
Today, his business, Boar Carrot, works with organizations, professionals, and leaders that want to see more effective presentations, hear more efficient communication, and feel more engagement at work.
For this workshop, Benjamin’s curiosity seeks answers to the question; “how can we effectively communicate with human-enhancing tools like generative AI,” and he wants to share what he’s learned with you.
Meet Leigha Jansen, EdD, CPACC - director of educational technology at Continued. With degrees from the University of Minnesota and Nova Southeastern, Dr. LJ brings brains, heart, and over 20 years of experience to the table. Her passion? Leveraging technologies, including AI, to deliver top-notch continuing ed for adult learners nationwide.
A self-proclaimed "lifelong learner," Leigha holds the CPACC credential and keeps digital accessibility at the forefront. She serves on the IACET Board of Directors and as an adjunct faculty member at Concordia University because she believes in the combined power of learning and technology to change lives for the better.
When not directing and teaching, you can find this Minnesota girl embracing the great outdoors or curling up with a good book. Leigha loves the beauty of the Minnesota Arrowhead's four seasons almost as much as she loves helping adults unlock their potential.
