In this session, you will learn best practices of applying adult learning principles to instructor-led and eLearning modules.  Together, we will break down Malcolm Knowles’ and Robert Gagné’s theories of adult learning.  We’ll spend time discussing creative ways to apply this knowledge, so bring along some examples of the ways your organization currently incorporates adult learning principles.

About Your Guest Facilitator:
Jessica Nelson is a dynamic and engaging facilitator who has designed, developed, and delivered training and development programs within corporate settings for the past ten years.  She has held a broad range of learning related roles including Senior Instructional Designer, Trainer, and Executive Director.  Jessica is currently a Senior Associate with the Learning and Professional Development group at McGladrey.  Jessica is best known for her innovative eLearning modules developed internationally for UnitedHealthcare and a nationally recognized parent education program created during her time at Lutheran Social Services.

Take Hwy 100 South (past 394 and past Excelsior Blvd)
Exit on the 50th Street/Vernon Avenue exit
Take a Right at the top of the exit
Take a Left at the 3rd stoplight (next to an SA the Library is across the street on the same side of the street)
Take an immediate Right into the Library parking lot
Go in the front entrance.  The conference room is the first room on the right.
