Transforming Learning: Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation Dec 5, 2023 12:00-1:00 PM – Virtual Event The Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation, like many organizations in the last few years, was faced with the challenge of engaging and retaining talent. As staff become well-trained, they are often a target of recruiters from competing companies. Our presenter will help us explore the limitations of traditional staff segmentation when building talent acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies. Jan will share how MHIF segmented staff by career aspirations and motivations and developed proactive strategies for the sustainability of a committed team. This program is FREE for all ATD-GTC members. Members may bring one complimentary, registered guest. Meet the Presenter: As Chief Talent, Education and Strategy Officer for the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation (MHIF) since 2016, Jan Dick focuses on talent management, strategic planning, leadership development, and organizational culture. Prior to joining MHIF, Jan was Organizational Development Practice Leader and Consultant with The Bailey Group, a Twin Cities leadership consulting firm, where she coached organizations and leaders to achieve their highest performance. Jan’s consulting career followed a successful career as Senior Vice President of Human Resources at American Medical Systems (AMS), Schneider (USA) and Pfizer, where she help build effective and resilient organizations during periods of significant growth and change. Her career track has enabled her to experience publically-traded, consulting and non-profit organizations and skills needed to navigate each.
